Tomorrow we leave to head back to Athens. We have one day in Athens before we head back home to Alberta, Canada!
Greece was amazing, it is a wonderful gem of the world and I loved my time here! When we come back in the future I definitely want to check out some different (less-touristy) islands.
We are in Santorini!! Yesterday was an entire day of travelling to get here via Ferry. Today, we went to find the beautiful caldera view! This was the first sight and I love it! I was in just awe of the beauty, the height, the ocean, everything!

Today was our boat tour of Palaia Kammeni, hot springs, Therissia, and sailing by Oia!
Checked into Oia! When we were planning our trip we couldn’t decide if we should stay in Thera or Oia so we decided to split the trip - 2 days in Thera and 2 days in Oia!

Today we spent the day wandering the streets of Oia and visited Pyrgos Village. Easter in Greece is a week later than Easter in Canada but on Santorini they have this really cool celebration in Pyrgos where they light this tin cans and line the entire village!

This was our last day in Santorini. While we waited for our Catamaran Cruise with Spiridakos we walked to another caldera lookout point and chilled at our hotel pool.

Santorini was absolutely beautiful! This place holds a really special place in my heart, Max and I are really excited to be getting married in 2020!
Tomorrow we’re off to our last island - Milos!
We spent 5 glorious days on Mykonos! Staying at Carbonaki Hotel which was a perfect 5 minute walk to the ocean! The buildings, the water, the beaches, the Gelato…everything was perfect about this place!
30 minute flight and we’re in Mykonos! Of course as soon as we landed we dropped our bags at the hotel and went exploring!

That concludes our time on Mykonos. Tomorrow we head off to Santorini!
Greece was our first international trip across the ocean. We truly considered it a “dream come true.” Our first stop on this grand trip was Athens!
We arrived in Athens, Greece at 9:00 AM and caught our transfer to the hotel. However, because of a bike race he couldn’t drop us off at the hotel and instead took us to the subway which we had to take 5 stops to Syntagma Square.
Because check-in wasn’t for another few hours we dropped our packs at the hotel and went for a walk.

Today was our Acropolis + Museum Tour! We left the hotel around 9:00 AM and grabbed breakfast at Snoyo.

The knobs on the side of the stones were used to help lift them
Each major city worshipped a different god (i.e. Athens worshipped Athena)
A lot of the Acropolis was destroyed by wars
The color that was part of the statues were made from rock mixed with eggs

Left the hotel around 8:00 AM to find the Ancient Agora! While we were on our way we happened to find this beautiful church and Monastraki Square (because it was so early in the morning it was pretty quiet).
